A speciality of physiotherapy aimed at improving the symptoms and quality of life of patients with some form of rheumatic disease.

In this field, individualised and very humane treatment is essential, as we deal with patients with chronic pain that ends up exhausting them. At Kynesit we try to improve their quality of life, reducing pain and inflammation and retraining them to be able to overcome daily activities.

The most common rheumatic diseases include:

  • Arthrosis: is the result of the wear and tear of cartilage, which is responsible for cushioning the joints. It can be the result of trauma, certain diseases or simply the passage of time, which causes it to lose its characteristics and deteriorate. Physiotherapy cannot cure osteoarthritis, but it can improve the symptoms and, as a consequence, improve the quality of life. The aim is to improve joint congruence, avoiding worsening and reducing inflammation of the periarticular structures, which in many cases causes more pain than the osteoarthritis itself.
  • Osteoporosis: A disease in which the bone becomes more porous, making it more fragile and increasing the risk of fracture.
  • Fibromyalgia: a disease characterised by generalised pain and pain on pressure at specific points, accompanied by chronic fatigue.
  • Arthritis: autoimmune and degenerative disease that can affect one or more joints with pain, inflammation and functional disability.
